3/1/24 Best italian restaurant I've been to in SF. Waiters all speak Italian which is a great sign. The place is packed. The bar was packed. They give free focaccia (though it was too salty). They have free dessert if you check in on yelp. The food is delicious! Polipo alla Griglia ($17) -- octopus so fire it tasted like chicken Insalata di Barbabietole ($13) -- was expecting just roasted beets but it was a spinach salad with small amounts of beets Stinco d' Agnello ($34) -- big piece of lamb shank to cut through all the carbs, the sides that came with this were delicious too Prosciutto Pinsa ($22) -- very light and airy dough with a good chew and a lot of prosciutto Boscaiola ($23) -- pasta is cooked al dente but too undercooked in my opinion. sauce was fire tho

I came here on a Friday night for a double date, and it was so intimate, romantic, and nice overall. The ambiance inside isn't quiet, but it's comfortable and it can get crowded since it's such a good spot! The service is very attentive and will help you get informed on the menu. The cocktails are so beautifully crafted and taste delicious! Everything we had for food tasted delicious too, but I will say the pastas beat the pizzas for sure - the pasta tastes chewy and thicker than usual, so it may be made in house. The pesto and prosciutto pizza was so so, so next time i'll stick to pasta. overall, a solid italian spot in the marina!

Super cute interior and vibes. Staff is energetic. Got seated right away on a Saturday at 3pm. Food came out quick and was all delicious. We started with the complimentary bread along with roasted brussels sprouts. For our main dishes, we tried the margarita pizza, boscaiola pasta and amatriciana pasta. Loved how the pasta was al dente. My pasta (amatriciana) was a bit oversalted, was constantly taking big gulps of water after each bite. Everything was authentic, delicious, and had us wanting more. Definitely a place you need to check out. Totally recommend!

Ridiculously delicious. I tend to gravitate towards North Beach for Italian food, but this is very much worth strolling over to the Marina for. The Boscaiola with cream sauce is my absolute favorite, and that isn't even one of the dishes distinguished as a crowd favorite so I can't wait to try the Amatriciana next time. If the unique and delicious cocktails and food coupled with Roma Antica's incredibly authentic and rustic atmosphere isn't enough to convince you, the staff will. So many native Italians and locals with incredible stories to share. Give it a try! P.S. - Their Cheesecake del Giorno is absolutely worth saving some room for dessert.

My favorite Italian restaurant! It's tied with my past favorite in terms of best pasta but blew it out of the park when it comes to appetizers and overall experience. I'm still dreaming about the bruschetta Parma and mushroom fondue. Prices are surprisingly not expensive given its location in the Marina, but maybe I'm just used to overpriced food back in Portland. I love the atmosphere with Italian music playing in the background and servers who sing along. It felt very home-y. I will definitely return if I get the chance to come back to San Francisco. Don't forget to check in on Yelp for a free tiramisu!

BIG fan of the Boscaiola pasta. The flavors were so well balanced, the sausage was generous and had a great hint of herb. Love mushrooms. The pasta was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of chewy. The carbonara was okay, flavors tasted a little burnt but the pasta was also cooked nicely. The calamari was pretty good. Loved that it came with onions and zucchini. The aioli was nothing too special though. The complimentary bread was nice and onion-y, but I wish it tasted fresher and not cold. Great service and ambiance! I'd come back.
